Healthy Benefits+

Healthy Benefits+ is a mobile app created for easy access to employee benefits. In an effort to modernize this experience, a new product team was built to redesign the app, to help users to maximize all their benefits and live a healthier lifestyle.







Initially, the focus was on app architecture and payment features for the 1.0 release. Through uncovering user needs with testing, we shipped and built out key areas of the app. 



1.0  Key Areas

Benefit Purses
Benefit purses highlight available funds and their status, provide quick access to shopping features and recent activity. 

Placing benefit purses on the home screen came from business expectations that users become more educated on available funds, maximizing their benefits and getting to a zero balance. 




Scan to Pay
For the 1.0 release, paying with a barcode was provided to all users, and treated as a key function. 

With scanning the barcode to pay, users are provided with location based checkout instructions to give clarity to themselves and cashiers on how the program benefit works.  




Discover
Discover  offers entry points for the product scanner and store finder. The goal was to further understand the relationship between discovery features in-app, and how they affect the in-person shopping experience.   



With a new brand created and growing team for the 2.0 HB+ app release, the app has continued to evolve.
